Air France had organized this latest flight "intended exclusively for personnel", carrying on board members of management and some 500 employees - pilots, hostesses, stewards, mechanics - who have worked for years with and for the A380. Operated with the A380 MSN99 registered F-HPJH, flight AF380 must take off around 3:30 p.m. from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to complete a two-hour loop over France before returning to Paris airport. "We wanted to salute the departure of the A380 from our fleet and thank the teams that have worked for it for just over ten years," said an Air France spokesperson.

The final withdrawal of the nine tri-color A380s - initially scheduled for the end of 2022 but accelerated by the coronavirus crisis - "is part of the Air France-KLM group's fleet simplification strategy aimed at making the fleet more competitive, by continuing its transformation with more efficient and more modern planes and whose environmental footprint is considerably reduced ”.
As a special thank you, #AirFrance is organizing a special farewellflight with 500 staff members who made the #A380 fly.#AF380
